In an attempt to create real life mutants to make up for the garbage that was X-men 3 people have begun to install “body mods”. One such awesome modification allows you to sense magnetic fields a la magneto. They do this by inserting a small magnet under the skin on the tip of the index finder. When the finger gets close to a magnetic field the magnet begins to shake. The nerves in the finger sense this allowing the person to “feel” the magnetic feel. Hella cool, expect for the part where the magnet is attacked by your immune system, causing your finger to turn black. I guess that’s the price we pay for the next step in evolution.*
